OIE Veterinary Education Twinning Project
Faculty, residents, and veterinary students of Chiang Mai University and the University of Minnesota

Enhance public good of veterinary medicine and strengthen global veterinary service capacities.
CAHFS OIE emblem

Identify curriculum gaps by comparison to the World Animal Health Association (OIE) guidelines for veterinary education core curricula and Day 1 competencies for graduating veterinarians. Gaps will be closed through development of new coursework, online teaching modules, and teaching skills workshops. Twinning will also support student and faculty exchanges.
The twinning project uses a collaborative capacity building approach to enhance the ability of veterinarians to prevent the spread of animal disease, identify and quickly respond to new and emerging diseases, and improve food safety.
