One Health Workshop  Online Registration

Dear Colleagues,

We are sponsoring a one day workshop to catalyze some new “One Health” partnerships focusing on zoonoses, vectorborne and foodborne diseases.  The objective is to identify 2-3 new initiatives with a high likelihood of success in fostering government-industry-academic collaborations in teaching, research or service.  We anticipate having seed money to help kick off these new collaborations.

The workshop will run from 8am to 5pm, with lunch and breaks provided.  Should you be interested in participating, we are asking that you bring with you a potential partner from government or industry.  You may bring a State or Federal government official or a representative from a producer group, a commodity organization or a private company.  Participants will include Dr. Lonnie King, Director of the new CDC National Center for Zoonoses, Vectorborne and Enteric Diseases and 4 or 5 of his division directors and scientists.

Promoting “One Health” partnerships at the intersection of animal and public health necessitates that we forge new collaborations and leverage public and private resources around shared interests.
