Executive Masters in Public Health:
The Executive Program in Public Health Practice (EPHP) is part of the Public Health Practice Major. It offers a flexible curriculum that students may tailor to their career and practice. The program is aimed at professionals with significant work experience in the area of health or human services, and who also have an advanced degree, such as an M.S., M.D., D.D.S., D.V.M., Pharm.D., or Ph.D. Students may complete the program in as little as 16 months of full-time study, depending upon the term of admission.
The major in Public Health Practice brings together the science and the art of public health. In keeping with the vision of Healthy People in Healthy Communities, this major addresses public health as a broad social and interdisciplinary enterprise that seeks to extend the benefits of current knowledge in ways that will have the maximum impact on the health status of populations. This calls for collective action to protect, promote, and improve health, through education, engineering, and enforcement strategies.
This major offers academic programs at the master's level that prepare students to be leaders and practitioners in the application of public health principles in agencies delivering preventive health services and public health programs.
