Educational Programs


The center believes in a collaborative approach to education. The Center -

  • works with the College of Veterinary Medicine, and the College of Food, Agricultural and Natural Resource Sciences to expand master’s and Ph.D. offerings in animal health and food safety
  • collaborates with the School of Public Health to offer a master’s degree in public health for veterinary students focusing on food safety and bio-security
  • extends the latest public health information to community health professionals through the Public Health Institute which is held each summer
  • expands internship, post-doctoral fellowship, externship and clinical residency opportunities to provide the learning community with broad experience in animal health/food safety system issues
