Animal health and food safety issues attract significant public attention, garnering media coverage and public concern. The center disseminates scientifically sound, accurate, and timely information by –

  • Working with news and industry media as subject matter experts
  • Arranging for media training and risk communication skill-building for a wide range of stakeholders in the global food system
  • Maintaining fact sheets and website links on issues of animal health and food safety
  • Providing key information on emerging animal health and food safety issues
  • Bringing relevant science to bear on the public policy process
